Y yo no pude ir:sob: estoy loca por ir a ver a nuestro Boricua JJ jugando a ver si me encuentro a su bella esposa Viviana, que segun vive por mi misma area.
This isn’t the first time the Mavericks have gotten involved in aiding Puerto Rico. J.J. Barea, a native of the island, has been actively involved in relief efforts. With assistance from Mavs owner Mark Cuban, who lent him the team plane, Barea has made several trips to Puerto Rico, dropping off supplies and bringing people stateside. Puerto Rico was devastated by Hurricane Maria on September 20.
Recovery efforts continue to be slow and the island is without power and running water in many areas. It will take a long time before daily life gains a semblance of normalcy. While there is certainly much more work to be done, the Mavericks are finding small ways to help where they can. It’s a good example of what athletes and teams are capable of when they don’t just stick to sports.
So mark your calendars. You already like basketball. Why not make your ticket purchase go farther and help the people of Puerto Rico?
