Univision Communications has announced that 4.2 million total viewers 2+ in the United States tuned in to all or part of the two-hour broadcast premiere of La Banda, the music-based reality competition show.
La Banda aired on Sunday 13 September, and averaged 2.6 million total Viewers 2+, 1.2 million adults 18-49 and 522,000 young adults 18-34.
La Banda also delivered the No 1 most socially engaged audience for a broadcast prime time programme and network, garnering more Tweets per unique than NBC’s NFL Football, ABC’s Miss America and CBS’ Big Brother.
That’s up 53% in viewers and 37% in the 18-49 demo from the May 5, 2013, debut of La Voz Kids on Telemundo. Last night’s La Banda premiere — which was second among networks behind NBC and SNF in total viewers in NYC, Houston, Miami and NYC — had the same number of overall viewers and just 7% fewer in the 18-49 demo than the La Voz Kids S1 finale back in June 2013.
